Unit III: Digital Storytelling: Photo Novella / Graphic Novel
Objectives
In Unit III students will examine narrative story telling, symbolism and image /text combinations.
An emphasis if placed on identifying the audience for the artwork. Students will develop a mastery of the text and vector tools in Adobe Photoshop.
Requirements
Students must complete the following
- Digital Print: large-scale (if available).
- Web Gallery of 5 - 7 exercises from Unit III
- artist research

Research Topic
Find examples of symbolism in art history and in contemporary media. Discuss how does style affects your perception of the subject matter in the image? How has the artist used color for impact or effect? How has reproduction and mass communications affected art? Site the sources used for quotes and images.
