Unit II: Creating a Virtual Space
Objectives
The focus of Unit II is on blending images together to create a convincing illusion of space. A special emphasis is placed on creating original source material using Digital Cameras.
Requirements
Students are expected to turn in the following:
- one Unit Image must be developed at a higher resolution for print
- one digital print
- artist research
- Web gallery of 4-6 studies and exercises
- Scale juxtapositions

Research
Find examples where the artist has createed a seamless realistic illusion that seems visually impossible or not real. Find examples that use both digital and non-digital means. How has the artist used atmospheric depth concepts to make the image appear real and enhance the illusion? Site the sources used for quotes and images.
