Grading Procedure: |
25%
- The satisfactory completion of
five assignments. 25%
- A Final Portfolio (see attached sheet). 25%
- Quizzes. Quizzes will be taken on quiz day in class. Unexcused
absences will result
in the reduction of one letter grade. Make up or retakes will not be taken
during class time. 25% - Contribution to the class:
-Regular attendance at lectures, demonstrations, critiques, and Lab sessions
is mandatory. This is an experience class, and growth comes from active
and continued participation. Roll will be taken at the beginning of each
class; more than three absences or latenesses could affect your final grade.
If you are absent for any reason it is suggested you contact a classmate or
your instructor to find out what you
missed. Unexcused absences on deadline or quiz days will result in a
reduction of 10 points.
-Willingness to participate in class discussions includes preparation of
projects and completion of reading assignments by the due dates. The amount
of energy you contribute to the various sessions, as well as your analysis
and constructive opinions during critiques, are both vital to the class and
highly noted in terms of your final grade.
-Participation in any special events which may take place during the
semester-i.e., field trips, contests or exhibitions - is encouraged, as it
will influence your grade.
-All students enrolled in the Spring Semester are required to enter the
Student Photo Exhibition to be held during the Spring Semester of the current
school year. Others are encouraged to enter. A = 90
- 100 B = 80
- 89 C = 70
- 79 D = 60
- 69 F = 0
