Avatar Fashion Show: Express Yourself in Red White and Blue

Join us on November 4, 1:00 - 2:00. 

Participate in a celebration of our diverse heritage and culture.  Give us your insights about culture and identity. Visit the DCCCD virtual Art Museum, check out the Fashion Competition, pick up some new moves on the virtual dance floor or hang out and chat with students and the rest of the virtual DCCCD Community.

What is Second Life? Second Life is an online virtual universe. The DCCCD has created a virtual Art Museum for students and employees in this online universe. It’s free to visit, but you must download the free virtual software to participate. For more details go to www.secondlife.com

Can't get online? Come by Richland College Thunderduck Hall Rooms T248 and T252 to see the event and listen behind the scenes.

Avatar Fashion Show: Express Yourself in Red White and Blue.

Winners to be announced November 4, later in the day. Pictures will be posted in the DCCCD Museum and in a Web Gallery TBA. Stay Tuned for the vote outcome from our virtual judges Montse Anderson, Debbie Smith and Melissa Martinez.

Judging based on overall effect. We encourage participants to site sources for borrowed fashion elements.

Linden Dollar AWARDS: (yes, Second Life Virtual Currency is differnt from American Dollars) for First ($500), Second ($300) and Third Place ($200) Winners in each Category. Get a big hedge on inflation.

The Public is welcome to visit on Election Day. Reception and Show Tuesday November 4, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on the DCCCD Second Life Island.  Free DCCCD virtual T-shirts to all. A parallel showing will be on the Flickr Site to be announced later.
