9/02/09 Today I was introduced to a game maker called Alice. In Alice I learned how to make an object move with paramaters. The parameters are draged and droped into a window called world my first method from a panel called method.
9/09/09 Today I learned: game genres, what made popular games, and the history of games. I learned about porting and how some games can be ported and others can't. The teacher asked us a question and put us in groups to discuss and answer them. I learned in my group: the advantages and disadvantages of consoles, PCs, and handhelds. Finally, we got to work on Alice Skater a little bit and the homework was the Japanese Fan Girl.

09/30/09 Today the class was devided into 3 groups (1 though 3) , in group 3 we discussed how games are localized to countries, cultures, and languages. In class I also learened how to make turrets using the Hammer Editor.

10/07/09 Today in class I learned about textures and lighting in a map. The more object a room has the more light is cast in the room, but it also takes a longer time to load. I also learned about dynamic lighting is in that it can make a textures in a room come to life, but too much dynamic light will cuase the game to run slow and use alot of CPU power.
10/14/09 Today the Teacher Professor Dan Doa gave the class an assignment to make our own map using the Hammer Editor. I also learned the maps lay out are symmetrically layed out and are designed to look like mazes. The picture is the cat walk I made in class. I also learned about Game Design Document(GDD) and Technical Design Document (TDD). The GDD contains the layout of the game, genre, and the games unque saling points. The TDD contians the a list of the programs used to make the game, and patches.
10/16/09 The picture is of the map that I made using the Hammer Editor. The picture is taking from a top view and shows the lay out of the map. The Counter Terrorist are on the left side of the map and the Terrorist are on the right side.
10/21/09 This is my prefap using the Counter Stricke`s hammers editor. I made a radio by first making a box then using the brush tool and put a radio textor to it.
