Creating a homepage- Due: Monday March 2, 2009 class time
For this assignment you will create a simple web page with the following criteria for completion.
- Your topic will be a favorite pastime or hobby you would like to share with me and the other members of your class.
- A relevant title is required
- You will have a bgcolor of choice (other than white or black)
- Include a minimum of three paragraphs. (1 sentence is not a paragraph, 4-6 sentences per paragraph, please)
- Change the font color, size and face for each paragraph (do not use heading tags)
- Text must be readable and correctly spelled.
- Use at least 2 different heading tags
- Insert a graphic of your topic, graphic must be optimized
and no larger than 250 pixels in any direction. - Use a horizontal rule at least once.
- Create an ordered, unordered and definition list (related to your topic) with at least 3 items in each. (items should be relevant to your topic)
- Include a link to Your favorite website (absolute link)
- Save HOMEPAGE as index.html
- FTP index.html
- do not put index.html inside a folder, FTP to the root
- (make sure and FTP your graphic)
- Any code found on your page that is not the basic code covered in this assignment will lower your grade automatically to a zero.
