Midterm Project - Topics for project

This week you will demonstrate your ability to apply the knowledge you have gained so far during the semester.  You do not have any criteria that were not address somehow in your textbook hands-on exercises, case study work or class demonstrations.

Please follow instructions carefully and get all the basic specifications in place.

For your midterm, choose from one of the topics provided on the above link to create a web-site using ONLY the tags and CSS you have learned to this point in class. Post the midterm project on your student server space. General Project Requirements for all Projects:

  1. Page requirements: Index page and four (4) supplemental pages, inside a midterm_fa08 folder
  2. File Naming Conventions: Save index page as index.html in a folder titled midterm_fa08 (do not place your midterm folder inside the practice folder, it should be at the same level as your case studies), save other pages as outlined in the project you choose. Make sure and save all files inside the midterm_fa08 folder
  3. Sources: All text content MUST BE YOUR OWN WORK - DO NOT copy and paste content from another site and claim the work as yours, in other words paraphrase. This also applies to graphics. We have covered fair use and copyright, make sure and include credit to sites in which you have borrowed graphics. Give credit to the site or sites where you obtained information/graphics -- at the bottom of each page or you also have the option of creating an additional copyright citation page where you can include citations for all pages using source material which is not yours. DOCUMENT all source material if it is not your own. This can be accomplished by copying the web address and placing it at the bottom of each page using a citation format and copyright symbol -or copyright page.
