Description:
This was an animation project using traditional frame by frame animation and some animation built using Flash MX for movement and sizing and such. It began as an idea for a company logo for myself and grew from the logo to full body drawings and sketches of the character which were then scanned and redrawn into the computer using Flash and Photoshop.
Goals:
The goal was to learn how to create an animation using Macromedia Director and then formating it to be viewed as a traditional cartoon formatted for television via exporting as a movie file. Over the past several years I became more comforatable with using Flash and felt that Flash MX especially had exactly what I needed to present the animation the way I had pictured it.
Timeline:
The project began in the spring of 2001 but was dropped due to time constraints and was picked back up for the Fall 2002 Interactive Multimedia class, due to formatting issues the video exporting was a problem and was completed this Spring 2003 Semester for the Animation Competition using Flash MX.
