Stephen Marc

ASU photography professor and digital artist Stephen Marc travels extensively throughout the Northeast, South and Midwest, rediscovering his African American heritage and photographing Underground Railroad sites. He is creating digital montages for an upcoming book and traveling exhibition.

Garman Herigstad

Special Effects Guru Garman Herigstad's credits include Technical Director for "Cast Away", and "Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone".

He has created special effects for films such as "The Ant Bully", "Stealth", "The Day After Tomorrow", "The Time Machine", "X-Men (2000)", and "O Brother, Where Art Thou".

Garman also runs VizyAcky, a school for Special Effects in Addison, Texas. Courses are also available online.

Pro-Tools Demonstration:

digital music/audio production software by Jake Schaefer of Digidesign Corporation.

Pro-Tools is the industry standard software used in top recording studios, radio and television production facilities, advertising agencies, etc. for recording and editing music and audio. Pro-Tools is used for all kinds of amazing post-production work, most famously for pitch correction. Mr. Schaefer will demonstrate the software and the Pro-Tools HD 7 control console and discuss the many ways it is used in industry and education.

Brad Keller

Brad Keller is a Dallas-based Filmmaker whose production company, Fireside-Entertainment, is responsible for the Lifetime Movies Cable series, "Inspector Mom"

Brad and crew filmed on the Richland campus and soccer fields for episodes of this series.

Brad has directed over 10 feature length films, and was asked back to the festival this year by popular demand.

Mr. Keller's breakthrough came with 2004's A Killer Within starring Giancarlo Esposito. Distributing it himself, he succeeded in getting the DVD into Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Borders and other chain stores.

April 1 Artist Talk: Andrew Ortiz, Dwayne Carter, and Jesse English will discuss their current Digital Art exhibits at the Bath House.

Artist Steven Marc will speak in conjunction with "Montage" a group exhibit featuring work by artists Yoon Cho,Carolina Kile, Enrique Fernandez, Stephen Marc, and Gordon Young.
